2009/10/7 - The standalone builds are back
The standalone nightly builds are finally back. We again provide TRex installers (based on Install4J) for Windows and Linux (both 32-bit) with bundled JRE. The build also includes Subversive for Subversion support and is based on Eclipse 3.5.1. With the Big "Download TRex" button on the main page, we hope that we made it easier for interested parties to try TRex without a lot of problem. In addition, we moved our build system to Eclipe 3.5. This means, plugin builds may work with 3.4 or they may not work with 3.5. We don't know ;-)
2009/07/21 - Pattern detection included in nightly builds
The nightly builds of TRex now include a number of new plugins that extend the TPTP analysis infrastructure. The plugins are analysis providers that detect bad smells in TTCN-3 code. Unfortunately, the X-Query based smell detection is currently broken and does not work at the moment. Furthermore, a noteworthy thing is that the TPTP analysis infrastructure on which this work is based has been abandonded by the Eclipse TPTP project and they don't offer properly working bundles of it anymore with recent TPTP distributions. Even worse, they install empty bundles without the compiled classes making it hard to find errors (as the plugin is formally installed for the eclipse environment, but the compiled classes are missing). In order to solve this problem for TRex, we decided to branch the necessary plugins off and provide them from our own repository. We don't expect any problems with this decision (as the project won't be developed any further) and it is more convenient for us and the users.
2009/06/24 - TRex compatibility with Eclipse 3.5
We are happy to announce that TRex is compatible with Eclipse 3.5. The update site URL on the Downloads page is still the one to use.
2008/09/15 - Server will move physically and thus be offline for a while
On 15th of September 2008, the TRex server (web pages, nightly build process, update site, SVN repository, bug tracking, mailing list) will move into a new building. During that time, the server will not be available. It is expected that the downtime is restricted to one day.
2008/07/29 - OpenTTCN Compiler Plugin
We are happy to announce that OpenTTCN Oy have contributed a compiler plugin for the integration of their OpenTTCN compiler into TRex. The plugin is not yet part of an official release, but it is available in the most recent nightly builds, i.e. you can test it by installing a development build from the nightly update site. Please note that this is only a first version of the plugin and that it may still be subject of changes.
2008/07/11 - Nightly builds are ready for Eclipse 3.4
We have made a few changes to make TRex ready for the Eclipse 3.4 platform. Please check the Download page for updated instructions and a new url to the p2-enabled update site for platform 3.4 builds. The update site for Eclipse 3.3 nightly builds will not be updated any more. There are still no new product builds (of course, mails that indicated that there was some demand could speed up things a little...).
2008/01/23 - Internet connection was down, now up again
In the last days, our Internet connection was interrupted. The cable has been repaired and everything should be operational again.
